Travel to Düsseldorf

By plane

If travelling by plane, you will most likely be arriving at Düsseldorf airport which welcomes up to 70,000 passengers on a daily basis. It is located north of Düsseldorf and east of the Rhine River and located a 10 minute drive from the city centre. The airport is home to a modern business park, a conference and meeting centre and a diverse array of shopping possibilities and restaurants.

Free Wi-Fi is also available in the terminal buildings free of charge. Internet terminals are also conveniently available, two of which are located on the Arrivals level near the Airport information counter. The Düsseldorf Airport app is also available via free download on both the Google Play store and the Apple App Store.

By train:

The Düsseldorf Hauptbahnof (main station) is a major stop for Deutsche Bahn, the German state railway. Tickets need to be validated before departure and failure to do so can result in an on the spot fine.

By car:

Düsseldorf is connected to the following highways: A3, A44, A46, A57 (Via Neuss) and A59. It is important to research German traffic rules and road signs prior to arrival as they may vary. In terms of parking, it must be noted that parking space is limited and usually not free.
